You can park at the side of the function room right outside the double door. This is located in a lane at the side of the venue. In the wet, the lane can get a bit muddy as it is not tarmac.
Through an external double door straight onto the room. No steps or issues at all. Very easy to load in.
No stage but you have the full length of the room to set up in. Plenty of space in this venue. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: 2-3m
Very friendly staff. No issues.
You can drive right up to the side of the marquee. You cannot get any closer, you may have to ask staff to open a small chain barrier though so you can get your vehicle in.
If you park outside the marquee, then it is straight in with no issues at all.
Plenty of room to set up, no issues at all - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: over 4m
Very helpful staff, no problems
You can park outside the fire doors that will take you straight into the function room.
Through the main fire doors, a few steps in and there are another set of double doors. There is normally a brick outside the main fire doors to hold these open while you load In but you may wish to take your own door stops for the next set of doors. It is less than a few metres walk and you are in the function room.
There is a large wooden stage in the centre of the room about 12 foot across. There is a white drape across the back wall with some fairy lights on that you can use. If you do not want to set up on the stage then there is also a small DJ booth area in the corner with 2 double sockets within easy reach. If you set up on the stage then you will need extensions from these sockets. - width available: 4-5m - height clearance: over 4m
Bar staff were ok during the evening, no issues. nAt finishing time, I was approached by the landlady who asked me how long it would take to leave. I told her about 30 mins. At this point, I was sworn at and told that I needed to be out I 15 minutes or I would have to leave my equipment there until tomorrow. I politely told her that this was not possible and I would be out as soon as possible. At this point, I was told that if I was not out in 15 minutes, then I would be locked in.
You can park right outside the fire door at the side of the building which takes you directly onto the set up area. There are a few steps.
Few steps and your straight onto the set up area / dance floor. Very easy to load in and out.
There is no separate set up area. You set up onto the dance floor. Its a wooden floor with no stage. There are a lot of mirrors on the wall behind you. Plenty of plug sockets all along the length of the back wall which makes uplighting easy.
Staff are fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for them.
You can drive up and around to the back of the room to park directly outside a double door that takes you straight onto the set up area. You couldn't get any closer if you wanted to!
Straight in through a door onto the dance floor area. Couldn't be improved upon. Very easy load in.
Large set up area with plenty of room and plenty of power sockets within easy reach. No issues at all.
Fantastic very helpful staff
Can park right by the access door
Very convenient - 2 doors no steps
Set up on the permanent wooden dancefloor. Not much room when tables are laid.
You can park around the back of the building, a few meters from the external stairs that you need to climb to enter the function room.
Quite steep metal stairs leading to the function room. There is lighting on the stairs triggered by a movement sensor so you can see what you are doing in the dark. The stairs are quite steep though and can get very slippery in wet conditions. Take extra care! Once you are in the room, there is a side entrance to the stage. You have to walk up a few steps.
Large stage with plenty of sockets available. Couldnt ask for better. - height clearance: over 4m
Staff are very friendly. No bad points.
Off street venue car park.
Double main external door. 2 flights of stairs. No lift. Another internal double door to access the function room.
Plenty of room on a permanent stage. Plenty of power sockets. No issues. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2-3m
Average. Bar staff are OK. Management not too friendly.
You can park around the back of the hotel in the staff car park and load in through the fire doors. You may have to ask staff to move their cars before you can get to the door but they are fine regarding this.
No steps. Through the rear fire door into the hotel, 2 steps through the function room door and you are in the set up area.
There is a temporary dance floor that is assembled in the function room. Due to the size of the dance floor, you are limited to where you can set up. If you set up facing the dance floor then you cannot see the rest of the room as you have to set up in an alcove which is almost out of sight to the rest of the room. This makes it awkward to see the crowd unless they are dancing. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Fantastic staff. No issues.
No parking restrictions. Park outside the front door if there is room. On street parking. No car park.
Main external door then a step up. A flight of approx 30 stairs (no lift). Internal door into the function room.
Small stage area for the disco set up. 4 power sockets. Quite low ceiling though so no room for a big truss. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Staff are fantastic. Very accommodating.
No parking restrictions. You can park outside the front door if there is room.
Single exterior door then a few steps in to the main internal door. No steps.
No disco set up area as this is like a small pub type establishment. Very limited space. Just enough for a small deck stand and 2 speaker tripods. Unless your lighting is on the deck stand then you may not be able to fit a tripod for lighting in here as well. - width available: 2m or less - height clearance: 3-4m
The staff are fantastic and very accommodating. Couldnt meet nicer people.
Off street parking at the back of the venue. You can park quite close to the external double door into the function room.
From the rear car park, a few steps into the function room. nA few more steps to get up onto the stage. No issues or obstacles.
Big permanent stage. Plenty of room. Black star-cloth back drop already installed. (Black cloth with white LEDs). - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Fantastic staff. Very friendly. No issues.
You can park as close as you can get to the entrance with a few seconds walk to the entrance doors. The walk is on grass and could be muddy during wet periods.
Short walk through a permanent marquee into the function room. 1 set of double doors in between.
Set up area tend to be in front of some fridges and where the buffet table was laid out. Small 4 foot booth had to be angles into the corner and no room for lighting tripods. The set up area is on a higher level then the dance floor (Up a few steps). Lighting placement may be awkward due to very low ceiling and may need to be set up on the lower dance floor level. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2m or less
Fantastic staff, they really look after you. Could not ask for better!
You can park at the back of the building right up to the double doors. You couldnt get any closer!
Through the double doors and the stage is to the side of you. Very easy load in.
Large stage, high ceiling. nNo issues at all. - width available: at least 5m
Staff are very friendly and I had no issues with any of them.
On street parking. There is a very small car park opposite. Very limited spaces on the road.
Function room is up a very steep flight of steps.
There is a designated area for the DJ to set up in. Almost like a DJ box in a nightclub. Not very good if you want to use your own deck stand etc but good if you want to bring less gear in because of the horrible stairs. - width available: 2-3m - height clearance: 2-3m
Fantastic staff. Very friendly and accommodating.
There is a small parking area on the street outside, enough for 3 vehicles. If you can get a space here then its perfect
Straight in through the main door, turn left through a double door Into the hall. No major obstacles and all fairly straight forward.
Large hall. 4 sockets within easy reach. No stage. High ceiling
You can drive around the back of the venue, right up to the double doors which take you straight into the hall. You couldn't get any closer.
Straight into the theatre through the double doors and up onto a large stage.
This is a theatre so you have a big stage with plenty of 13 amp sockets on both sides.
Fantastic staff, very accommodating.
Very difficult to find the venue room if you have never been here before. This place is huge and like a maze. I picked up a member of the catering staff who came with me to find the room. You can park outside the fire door and this will take you straight inside the room onto a large stage.
Park outside a small fire door. It is a small, low door and you may need to duck your head to get in! Up a few steps and you are on the stage . No issues at all.
Large stage set up inside a very long room inside the castle. nVery high ceiling. Smoke / haze not allowed due to it being a castle. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: over 4m
Parking is right up up to the double doors that lead straight into the function room. You cannot get much better than this.
Park up to double doors, few meters into the function room. Very easy load in.
Hotel can supply a stage if required. Plenty of room to set up. Very high ceiling. - width available: at least 5m - height clearance: over 4m
Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Ask staff for a room to get changed and if there is one available then they will give you a private room, if not available, you can change in one of the function suites.
If you can park anywhere close then you would be very lucky. You can park for a very short while outside the entrance door but beware of traffic wardens at all times. If you speak nice to the staff then they may help you to load in and supply a trolley for you if you do not already have one. You will need to move the car to a nearby car park (pay & display) once you have unloaded.
Up 2 flights of stairs (lift was out of order at the time) and quite a long walk. Very awkward load in.
Staff had to clear tables a space for the disco set up. There is no set space available. Inside is like your typical pub/restaurant lay out. Not much room.
Staff are fantastic. No issues or complaints.
There is a car park opposite that you can use once you have set up. This is a pay and display car park purely for this venue. The charge is £1 for 3 hours or £5 for all day. The staff gave me a ticket to put in the windscreen though so I didn't need to pay for one.
The function room is just a small walk from the entrance doors around the side of the building. Through another set of double doors and you are in. Quite an easy load in.
Function room: Big room and plenty of space available. No stage or separate dance floor area. There is a front bar area too. If you are setting up in here then please be aware that is a very small room with a low ceiling so a minimal set up would be preferred.
90% of the staff are fantastic. There are one or two younger staff members that are not very polite though, unfortunately.
You can park quite close to the fire doors that take you straight into the function room. You will have to walk around a railing and up a ramp though.
You load straight into the room
Really small function room. This room is usually used for eating so tables will need to be moved before you have any room to set up. There are 2 parts to this room. The bar is up a few steps and will be behind you when you set up. An extension lead will have to be plugged in by the bar and brought down to the set up area.
Staff are fantastic, no issues at all
There is a car park at the back of this venue. Although the function room is upstairs, you can park in the car park and walk straight into the function room from here without having to climb any stairs. It is a flat walk in straight into the function room. If you get there early enough, you will have plenty of room to park. During the evenings though the car park does fill up as there are not many spaces in there.
Straight flat access into the function room through a fire door. Very easy to load in.
There is no set space for setting up as such. There is a window in the middle of the room and I usually set up in front of it. The electric plug sockets are on the ceiling which is weird but as long have you have an extension lead, you\'ll be fine. If you set up in any other part of the room, the sockets are on floor level, as you would normally expect. You can fit a standard 4 foot DJ booth here with no issues. The ceiling is quite low though so you may struggle with an overhead kit on your b
You can park at the side of the building where there is less than a 1 minute walk to the function room
Down a few steps and a small walk but certainly not difficult access.
Small area to set up on. I could only use 1 speaker on a tripod in here safely. There is a small dance wooden floor in a corner of the room. Space is definitely lacking in this room.
Fantastic staff, couldn't ask for better
On street parking right outside the venue door. No yellow lines or parking restrictions.
2 flights of stairs inside the main door. No lift. There were also external steps but I didnt investigate these as the internal stairs were fine.
Large stage area, plenty of room. nLow ceiling. Some disco lights already installed (although not very modern or bright). Smoke detector above the dance floor. No sound limiter. - width available: 3-4m - height clearance: 2m or less
Very friendly and accommodating
Drive through the car park and around the side as if you are going on to the pitch. You can park at the bottom of some steel external stairs and use the stairs to gain access into the function room. There is a lift the other side of the venue but I find parking by the stairs much easier and quicker. It does get very busy when there is a game on and you may not be able to park in the car park provided. Usually access to the stairs around the side is not blocked.
If you use the back stairs then you walk straight into the function room, few meters walk to the 'stage' area. No real issues but the stairs are steep and may be slippery when wet. There is an outside light for loading out when its dark. Ask the staff to put it on.
Small raised ( a few inches) stage in the back corner of the room. Sockets within easy reach. Plenty of height so no issues with overhead lighting etc.
Never had an issue with any of the staff. Always friendly and polite
